How much does it cost to move my WordPress website?
A five-page business website starts at €995, a website of up to ten pages that you keep up to date yourself from €2,950, and a website with a custom design from €5,000, all excluding VAT and with no subscription. Redirecting the old addresses is a separate line in the quote, and depends on the number of pages. If you have many blog posts, the quote also states what moving them costs.
Will I lose my Google ranking?
Not if every old address redirects. We list every address of your current website, including those of blog posts, and redirect each one to the page that replaces it. After the move we check in Google Search Console that Google finds the new pages.
Should I leave WordPress because of the PHP vulnerability?
Your new website is made of ready-built files and does not run on PHP, so a flaw like the one of 21 October 2026 cannot touch it. A WordPress website does run on PHP, which is why it needs updates again and again: to PHP, to WordPress itself and to every plug-in. For this one flaw an update is enough: on an ordinary hosting plan, your hosting company installs it, as long as your PHP version still receives updates.
What is a good replacement for WordPress?
For a business website that shows what you do and how customers reach you: a website made of ready-built files, also called a static website. No system with plug-ins runs on it, it loads quickly and hosting costs little. If you want to change text and images yourself, it comes with a simple editing screen.
Can I still change the text myself afterwards?
Yes. With the business website you manage yourself, from €2,950, you change text and images and post news or projects without us. With the five-page business website, we make the changes for you, with an estimate first.
Is my website offline during the move?
No. We build the new website next to the old one, at a test address of its own. Only once you have approved it do we put it on your domain name. Your visitors only notice that the new website is there.
How long does the move take?
The five-page business website is online two weeks after we have your text and photographs. Those are usually on your current website already, so we start as soon as you have chosen what stays. For the other websites, or for many blog posts, the quote gives the schedule.
What happens to my email and my hosting?
Your email keeps working. If your email is part of the same hosting plan as your WordPress website, you either keep that plan for your email, or we first move your email to a separate email service. The quote states what that costs a month. You cancel your old plan only once the new website is online and your email works.
What does the website cost each year after the move?
There is no subscription and no plug-in licences to pay. You pay for your domain name and hosting, at the amounts given under the prices. Maintenance, such as updates and a check, takes about a quarter of the hours for a website of plain files that it takes for a website built on plug-ins.
Who owns the website and its files?
You do. The website, the domain name and the hosting account are in the name of your company. When the project is paid for, you receive all its files, so another web developer can always carry on with it.
Can you build an online shop?
For an online shop with a large catalogue of products, a ready-made e-commerce platform is usually the better choice, and we can advise you on which one.
